J.A. Steckling grew up in sunny San Diego, California. She traveled extensively and found inspiration everywhere she went.

As a teenager, Justine had two poems published in poetry anthologies, but due to lifelong health issues, had difficulty publishing anything else until the 2024 release of her poetry collection, I Will Rise.

Justine writes poetry of all kinds, and her fiction is on the darker side. She also writes around the internet under her legal name.

She currently resides with her partner and her cat and spends a lot of time in her own head as writers tend to do.

Her hobbies outside of writing including watching horror movies, reading, listening to music, knitting, and spending time with her loved ones. She loves connecting with new, like-minded people.
