Soon, my website will include a shop!
The video has a preview of some of the upcoming items to celebrate the release of I Will Rise.
Are you interested in my debut poetry book, I Will Rise? It’s now available in the Lulu bookstore as an epub digital download and on Amazon for Kindle. New retailers are being added regularly, and it will also be made available for purchase here in my new shop at a reduced rate as a thank you for buying directly from me!
I am going to be releasing a second poetry collection very soon, within the next month, that is entirely horror. I will have items inspired by that collection available soon as well, but I don’t want to give too much away too early by showing you previews of those just yet.
Keep an eye out. My physical and mental energy levels fluctuate day to day, so some days I struggle to write a blog post, and others I can have the entire shop done with everything ready to go in a single morning!
The inconsistency is one of my least favorite things about living with lifelong illness, but it has taught me some valuable lessons in learning to go with the flow set by my changing health. That is something that I’ve genuinely struggled with for most of my life. I am not a go with the flow kind of human by default, I am a rigid control freak (if we’re being honest). Leaving that behind to the best of my ability has actually heightened both my creativity and productivity on days that I am feeling well enough to do.
Some questions I have been considering that are extremely relevant to my creativity and productivity within that sphere are How can I bring more balance to my momentum? How can I facilitate consistent movement toward my goals?
When I have an answer, I’ll let you know. What I do know in the meantime is that many famous artists of all kinds have lived with lifelong illness and created amazing things, whether or not they were appreciated in their time. Granted, they didn’t have to maintain a social media presence and a website and try to self-promote to anonymous masses, but I think the point stands.
Illness does not have to stop me. Lack of mainstream success does not have to stop me. The only thing that has the power to stop me, really, is me – at least that I’ve encountered so far!
Your art matters. Don’t give up on your passion.
Please make sure you receive updates if you enjoy my posts so you will know when there is exciting news like the shop opening, new merchandise becoming available, books about to be released, and all that good stuff!
