What gives you direction in life?
I have wings to fly, and I do – even when I have to stay where I am for a while.

When my present circumstances are too much, I can use my imagination to escape and find some inner peace. That peace helps me make decisions going forward when I return to reality. It’s too hard to think clearly with all that mental chaos and make good choices.

I can use a fictional story to help me explore the different realities that could be if I made certain choices. I can use similar methods to plotting a novel to examine different choices and different outcomes. That creative approach allows me to keep an open mind to a ton of different choices.

Whether I’m writing it or reading it, fiction allows me to escape, to live another life. As I do that, I often learn what it is that I truly want, need, and value.
I’ve never enjoyed romances. I very rarely write romantic relationships in my stories. I never really valued having a partner in my real life until I learned that some people truly will love you unconditionally and make your life better instead of creating chaos. That was definitely a plot twist.

This is absolutely true. My life so far is a revised draft. It’s far from the finished product, but it’s way better than my initial draft at, let’s just say… 20.
My only goal is to make the story the happiest one possible, but I’d also love for it to be full of adventures and magical moments. I don’t need it to be a romance or a fairytale. At this rate, it’s looking most like a dystopian novel with a good love story added, and that is good enough for me. ♡
