It’s never too late to start a new beginning, to start over, to set fire to your life and rebuild better from the ashes.

We’re all given tools that can help us succeed. We all have natural gifts. We all have talents that we can nurture and grow.

Some of us have also been dealt a very unlucky hand in life, and it can become an excuse not to use our tools, cultivate our gifts, or grow our talents.

That’s never been me as a person, but I feel very like that when I’m depressed and focusing primarily on surviving. Even mild depression can cause me to feel unmotivated, uncaring.

I love this quote because it is important to rest when we’re struggling, but resting and giving up on ourselves (even temporarily) are not the same.

Depression is really just another shit hand we’re dealt. That’s just my perspective. I’ve been living with it coming and going since I was 8. Can’t believe that’s 25 years at this point.
